The wife and I enjoy occasionally entering The New Yorker’s caption contest. We have, naturally, never won. Patrick House, however, has won. And he’d like to explain how he did it.
If you haven’t listened to Patton Oswalt before, go to your local library and borrow “Werewolves & Lollipops.” It’s a CD of his standup routine. Hysterical. One of his bits is about doing “punch up” work, where writers and comedians come in to make a script better… Anyway, I’ll let him explain it.
